Welcome to Brownsea. Here are a few Key Points with information you need to know. Please read this and the booking email before calling us. We are volunteers with day jobs which means you may find it hard to contact us during the day. Best method is text or email.
Brownsea is a small site, only catering to a few at a time. Access is limited.
- Tents or vans with toof top tents ok.
- We don’t have the space for Caravans, MotorHomes, larger RVs, Trailers’. See below for a guide to what fits
- Instructions on how to access are in the booking email. Check your Junk Spam folders before calling us
- There are no powered sites, however there are power points available in the main building to charge phones etc
- When you make a booking you will receive via email the key code and the location of the key box. Make sure you supply us with the correct email and check your spam folder.
- The code will provide access to the toilet /shower block through the electronic keypad near the male toilet door. For your security and privacy we ask that you keep the male and female shower block doors closed.
- The key next to the dining room sliding door, will provide access to the dining room kitchen. The other sliding door is normally bolted closed. Please relock doors when not in use.
- There is a washing machine on the second floor that you are welcome to use. Supply your own detergent.
- Absolutely No fires, in drums or otherwise.
- Please leave the facility clean and tidy after your stay. Rubbish out and the all doors locked and secure.
- Check in – check out. We ask that you check out by 1pm and check in after 3pm, particularly on Sundays when the site is used for scout activities.
- Note Cameras operate in the area for your safety and security
